Cubism Questions

In order to create a cohesive cubism concept, Stephen McNally must go through a series of "steps" and make choices about his photos. I think the first step- of any project, not just cubism- is to come up with an idea. He must choose a concept that allows for a lot of creativity, has different lighting or controllable lighting throughout the day, and can be taken as different shots. The second step is to find a good perspective for his image. A photograph can turn out completely awful based on perspective, or it can turn out amazing. Because he's using different shots to create a piece, he must wait in that same spot for hours for things that will look interesting. Then he goes into photoshop and takes the parts of images that he likes and puts them together to create a final picture.

1. I think that 51 photos were used to create "The Tourist".
2. It is clear that the pictures used to create the final product were not all taken at the same of day. You can tell because of the different shadows and lights and sky colors.
3. I think he used photoshop to make the images look sharper or blurrier depending what he wanted. I also think he used photoshop to add filters and blending options.
4. He can tell he put a lot of effort into this piece because of the different lightings. You can also see that because the perspective doesn't change. The entire piece looks like he kept his camera still and in the same position. It doesn't look like he moved it or turned it, even to get a better image.
